Louise Lehman, a painter and art organizer, was born in Mississippi and was active in Memphis, Tennessee, where in 1944, she was Director of National Art Week. She is known for her floral subjects.
She studied in Mississippi at the State College, and in Washington DC at George Washington University, Corcoran School of Art, and in New York at Columbia University Teacher's College. Her teachers there were Oberteuffer and M Mason.
Memberships included the Southern States Art League, New Orleans Art Association, Palette & Brush Club and Board of Directors of the Artist's Registry.
