Louise H. Burrell was born in London, England in 1873. Burrell studied under Herman Herkomer and was a portraitist for royalty in London. While there, she exhibited under the name Louise H. Luker. At the outbreak of World War One, she moved from London to Victoria, BC and in 1916 to Hollywood, CA.
