Born in San Francisco, CA on April 6, 1864. "Lucy" was a pupil of her brother, Theodore, as well as Fred Yates, Emil Carlsen, and Arthur Mathews at the School of Design. After losing many of her paintings when the family home burned in 1906, she then moved to Los Angeles; by 1926 she was back in San Francisco. A spinster, she died in Oakland, CA on Sept. 29, 1949.
