Illustrator, writer, art lecturer. Born: Dowagiac, Michigan. She was the daughter of Horace Farnham and Lucy Tracy (Perkins) Colby.
Educated; Oberlin, Chicago Art Institute, Art Students League of New York, Pratt Institute, Brooklyn.
Assistant supervisor of drawing in St. Louis schools; left this to give lectures, chiefly on art topics. Wrote book: Talks to Teachers on Drawing and Painting. Regular contributor of fiction and prose to many women’s magazines and editor of girl’s pages in the Pictorial Review. Has drawn many color pages in the Delineator, Ladies Home Journal, etc. Member of the Pen and Brush Club and The Playgoers.
