A plein-aire landscape painter “whose works are rare” (Hughes), Lula Burson was born in Cook, Johnson County, Nebraska, the daughter of Robert McCulloch and Mary M. Seay McCulloch.
By 1880, the family had moved to Spring Creek, Johnson County, and ten years later, in 1900, she, age 21, was living with her family in Benkelman, Kansas.
By 1910, she was married Albert L. Burson, and they, with a son age seven, were living in Burbank, California.
No further information has been found.
