Biography   Mabel Farmer


Born in Portland, OR on March 28, 1903. Mabel McKibbin studied at the ASL of NYC and Stanford University. She was an art instructor at Palo Alto High School after 1945 and the wife of artist Edward M. Farmer. She died in Los Angeles on Aug. 15, 1974. Exh: NW PM, 1931, 1938; SFAA, 1931-40; Oakland Art Gallery, 1933; Foundation of Western Art, 1938-45; Calif. Society of Etchers, 1938-45; GGIE, 1939 (wood engravings). In: Library of Congress; SFMA; Carnegie Inst.
