Mabel Scammon Lowdon Moores was born in Redding, CA on Oct. 5, 1883. Mabel Lowdon was married to Wade Moores early in life and later to Edward Frisbie. Her illustrations adorned J. M. Beauchamp's Shasta: the Queen City. A lifelong resident of Redding, she died on July 7, 1979. Exh: Calif. State Fair, 1937; Santa Cruz Art League, 1938; Bay Region AA, 1940.
