Born in Fort Collins, CO on Oct. 22, 1902. Margaret studied art at Long Beach High School under Carol Lewerenz whose nephew she later married. After her education at the University of Colorado and USC, she took classes at Chouinard Art School and in 1928 studied art in Vienna while her husband, Dr. Alfred Lewerenz, studied psychology. Her watercolors and crafts won prizes at exhibitions in southern California from the 1920s-1940s. For 35 years she taught art in the Los Angeles high schools.
