Born St. Michaels, Maryland, September 15, 1864; daughter of Richard Henry Lee and Mathilda (Houghton) Atkinson;
Educated at Bucknell Seminary, Lewisburg, Pennsylvania; School of Design for Women, Philadelphia; Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia; New York university art course.
Married Philadelphia, December 24, 1910, George Augustus Armes, major, USA (retired).
Taught classes in art in New York City and Philadelphia until marriage.
