"Marion B. Brown, a prominent Long Island watercolorist died of cancer Saturday at her Freeport home. She was 81. Mrs. Brown won her first gold medal as a painter at age 8 in a Westinghouse competition. She was a professional artist and art instructor who specialized in land and seascapes and taught students in Lynbrook, Malverne and Garden City through last year. (1994) She was represented by Garden City Galleries Ltd.
