Born in Iowa on April 18, 1888. During the 1920s and 1930s Marjorie was a resident of Santa Barbara and the wife of architect Dan Murphy for whom she worked as a draftsman. She also taught at the Santa Barbara School of the Arts. In her leisure she painted portraits and exhibited locally. Mrs. Murphy died in Claremont, CA on Dec. 20, 1980. Exh: Calif.
