Mark Wheeler was active/lived in Alaska.  Mark Wheeler is known for illustration-cartoon, landscape painting.

Biography   Mark Wheeler


Mark Wheeler painted in Alaska full-time for thirty years, (1967 to 1997) primarily painting watercolors of historic buildings and several murals in acrylics around the state.

From his home in Ketchikan, AK he also wrote, illustrated, and published Half Baked Alaska (160 pages) once described as "that Alaskanistic humoriferous triviology".

Wheeler was a prolific cartoonist producing cartoon maps of Ketchikan, Prince of Wales Island, and other places, and created numerous newspaper cartoons for the Ketchikan Daily News and The Ketchikan Record.

Wheeler was also a product designer for many retailers and there are hundreds of thousands of images carrying his name.
