Born in San Francisco, CA on Aug. 5, 1893. Cohn was a lifelong resident of his native city. Artistically inclined at an early age, he studied at the local Institute of Art and in 1911 continued on a scholarship at the ASL of NYC. His art career was interrupted while serving in the Army during WWI. He was active as a portraitist until the Depression of the 1930s and then for 40 years worked as a salesman. Cohn died at the Veterans Home in Yountville, CA on Dec. 5, 1974.
