Mary Gay was active/lived in Massachusetts, California, Michigan.  Mary Gay is known for miniature painter.

Biography   Mary Gay

Born in Oscoda, MI in 1873.  Gay studied at  the Boston Museum of Art under Benson and Tarbell,
and in Paris with Lazar, Cottet, and Menard.  She was a resident of Cambridge, MA until 1909 and then settled in Los Angeles.  She shared a studio there in the Walker Bldg with Helen Osborne.  From her brush came miniatures, landscapes, and portraits.
