Biography   Mary Lord

Mary Lord was born in Birstall, West Yorkshire, studied at Leeds College of Art and remains resident in Leeds where she maintains an active studio. Mary is well known for her powerful oil paintings and delicate water colours depicting the Yorkshire Moors and Dales. The landscape is usually viewed from an elevated position and records Mary's response to the landscape form, the moods of the seasons and the atmosphere of the time of day. She has exhibited widely - both in the North of England and in London. Mary's work is represented in many collections in her home county of Yorkshire and widely throughout the North of England.
