Born in Massachusetts in November 1863. Mary Garrett studied in Paris, France prior to moving to San Francisco in the 1880s. After her marriage to Waldo Parkhurst in 1892, she moved across the bay to Alameda. She died in San Bernardino, CA on May 27, 1927. Most of her still lifes went up in flames in 1906, making any extant works rare.
