Biography Melinda Cowdery
A watercolorist and acrylic painter whose work includes Appaloosa horses, Great Blue Herons and motorcycles, Melinda Cowdery was born in Colorado and lived during her childhood i in northern California and Washington. She attended high school in Olympia, Washington and then attended the Museum Art School in Portland, Oregon. In 1973, she began a 15-year involvement with a jewelry design and manufacture business and painted and did graphic arts as a hobby.
In 1986, she turned to fine art, and chose to work primarily in watercolor. From that time she has had three one-person exhibitions and won a 1st prize for a painting form an Oregon Watercolor Society juried show.
