Biography Miguel Parra
Miguel Parra was born in Valencia in 1780 or 1784. He was first educated
by his father Miguel as well as the painters Benito Espinós and V.
López. He then worked as a teacher at the Academy of San Carlos and was
appointed court painter to Ferdinand VII and Isabella II. Works by
Miguel Parra can be found in the castle of Madrid, the Casino del
Principe of Escorial as well as in the cathedral and the Archbishop’s
palace in Valencia.
