The English artist Miriam I. Davis, even while living and being exhibited at the Royal Academy and other London galleries, was often wrongly identified as Miriam J. Davis, and even as Mirjam F. Davis (in the French reference work Benezit and in the German Thieme-Becker). A review of exhibition records makes clear that Miriam I. Davis, Miriam J. Davis and Mirjam F. Davis all referred to the same artist.
