Born in Cardiff, Wales on Sept. 6, 1907. Lewis imigrated to NYC as a teenager. He studied art there at the ASL and taught until settling in San Diego in 1942. During WWII he worked as a draftsman in the aircraft industry. After the war he founded and was director of the Coronado School of Fine Arts until retirement in the 1980s. He died in Coronado, CA on Aug. 30, 1997. Exh: AIC, 1936; PAFA, 1937; San Diego FA Gallery, 1942-45.
