Nancy Sussman Ranson — painter and serigrapher — was born in New York
City on September 13, 1905 and died in 1993. She was actively
creating works in oil, watercolor, acrylic, and silkscreen from the
1940s to the 1980s. Ranson studied at the Pratt Institute, BFA;
the New York School of Fine & Applied Art; Brooklyn Museum of Art
School; the Art Students' League with Jean Charlot (1898-1979), and
Robert Brackman (1896-1980); with Alexander Brook (1898-1980) and
Robert Laurent (1890-1970). Her address in 1984 was 400 Rugby Road,
