Biography   Omar Lama

Omar Lama (American, b. 20th century)

Chicago artist and member of Africobra* - active between 1968-1974. He attended the Art Institute of Chicago*, the South Side Community Art Center in Chicago, and Chicago State University.
He was featured in the exhibitions "Africobra I: Ten in Search of a Nation," Studio Museum in Harlem, 1970; Africobra II, Studio Museum in Harlem, 1971; and Africobra and Beyond,

DuSable Museum of African American History, 2013. His work in found in the collection of the Johnson Publishing Company.
