Biography Otto Pippel

Inspired by the French Impressionists, whose works he became acquainted with during a stay in Paris, Pippel decided to devote himself to the impressionist and plein air painting. In 1912 the painter joined the Munich 'Luitpold-Group' and showed his first work at the Glaspalast in Munich. From 1915 onwards he regularly participated in exhibitions.
After the war Pippel returned to Planegg, where he created an extensive oeuvre.
