Ozias Dodge, artist, inventor, adventurer
As remarkable as Hannah Sprague Dodge, Slater Museum director from 1926 to 1963, must have been, her short-lived husband, Ozias, was undoubtedly her match. And certainly their match must have created fire works from the very start. A friend of Charles Dana Gibson, Ozias met Hannah as she sat for a portrait, ostensibly to become a "Gibson Girl." She was from an affluent Yonkers, New York, family and had enjoyed the benefits of her birth and life's better things.
