Biography Patricia Johanson
Installation artist Patricia Johanson is one of the female artists who came on the scene in the 1970s of Earthworks sculptors. At that time, it was a pursuit dominated by males. Her specialty became 'healing' the landscape with art by constructing gardens, sculptural paths, and walkways that move around in the landscape. Johanson said of her motives that "artists who want to make a difference should keep their goals high and their personal needs at a minimum." (Boettger)
