Biography   Paul Baus

The following biography is from Veronica Czitrom Baus, nice of the artist.

Paul Jean Baus (1914-2006), was an artist and art professor at Kent State University in Ohio. He was born in Indianapolis, IN to painter Simon P Baus and his wife, Edith Baus, and died in Kent, OH. He obtained bachelors and masters degrees at Ohio State University, and joined the School of Art at Kent State University in Ohio in 1947 as a sculpture professor.

One of Paul's early sculptures, Indian Mother and Child, was selected to represent the State of Indiana in the Second National Exhibition of American Art, a feature of New York's Third Annual Summer Festival of Music, Art, Dance, and Drama.
