Paul Scheurich (1883-1945)The sculptor, painter and illustrator Paul Scheurich is less known for his bronze sculptures as more for his work with porcelain. He is popular for his models for the Porcelain Manufactorys like Meissen, Karlsruhe, Nymphenburg and KPM Berlin. From 1900 to 1902 he studied at the Berliner Akademie. For the Porcelain Manufactory Meissen he created numerous figures in Rokoko style between 1918 and 1936. This has to be a prefer topic in his work, which he transfer in lots of models. In 1939 he tooks part at the Große Deutsche Kunstausstellung in Munich with his work 'Hirt and Nymphe'. Besides his porcelain figures and despite of the rarity of bronze sculptures his work is highly favored. (ala)
