Biography Peter Turgeon
Peter Turgeon was born in Hinsdale, Illinois in 1919 and died at the age of 80 in Amagansett, Long Island, New York. His primary career was as an actor, director and script writer. His career spanned 60 years and he appeared on Broadway, summer stock, in television and in the movies. A comic actor, Mr. Turgeon devoted his life to the theater but had taken up drawing and painting while young and developed his own unique style. He considered his model to be the American primitive school with influences from nautical paintings (his ship series, mostly shown off Montauk Point) and Theodore Rousseau.
