Born in Oakland, CA on April 5, 1913. Wood studied at the CSFA during 1930-35. He married artist Mireille Piazzoni in 1937 and, as a budding young artist, was greatly influenced by his father-in-law Gottardo Piazzoni. Wood died in San Francisco on Dec. 1, 2002. Equally facile with both oil and watercolor, he specialized in landscapes of northern California. Exh: GGIE, 1939; San Francisco Art Association, 1940.
