He exhibited at the Salon from 1800 and received a gold medal in 1824. Under the Monarchy of July, he is responsible for pictorial restoration work in the galleries of the Palace of Versailles and in the Gallery of Diane at the Tuileries Palace . He also made church decorations.
On November 27 and 28, 1837, a sale of his paintings after his death was organized in Paris, by Master Benou assisted by the expert Defer2.
