Polly Folwell

Polly Rose Folwell is active/lives in New Mexico.  Polly Folwell is known for Santa Clara Pueblo pottery.

Biography   Polly Folwell

Winner of the 2003 Best of Pottery award at the annual Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair and Market, Folwell created a pot that depicted the tragedy of September 11, 2001. One of the judges commented: "A hundred years from now, this pot will continue to be important to history."

Folwell is from a family of artists. Her grandmother is Rose Naranjo, noted potter; her mother is Jody Folwell, a contemporary potter whose work depicts social and political themes; her father is Hank Folwell, a painter in modernist style, and Susan Folwell is her younger sister and also an award-winning potter.
