Biography Ray (Raymond) Doyle
Raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Ray Doyle is a painter of New England subjects including coastal scenes, buildings, seascape, formal portraits of notables, and genre including action-packed sports scenes. Some of his paintings are of Boston architecture and landmarks such as Copley Square, Trinity Church, Quincy Market and Public Gardens.
Ray Doyle spent six years in the Air Force and then worked for GTE Sylvania as an illustrator and designer. Upon retirement, he became a sports cartoonist for newspapers and magazines as well as a fine-art painter.
His art education includes study at the Museum School of Boston's Museum of Fine Arts and the Art Institute of Boston, from where he graduated.
