As a young man early in the 1950's he was commissioned for the Beech-Nut Baby Food TV Ads/Commercials by the Beech-Nut Factory in Canojoharie, New York, while working as local art teacher, commercial artist and curator of the Canajoharie Museum in New York.
During the early 1960's Gibney was also affiliated with The Museum of Fine Arts located in Boston Massachusetts, performing restorative/educational work in the bowels and whose expertise was used in the care of incoming fine arts and the showing / treatment and care of such art.
