Painter. Born in Indianapolis, IN on May 11, 1904.
Taggart began his art studies in Indiana under Paul Hadley. He moved to California in 1919 and further studied with Jean Mannheim, Alson S. Clark, and at the Stickney Art Institute. After four years in Sierra Madre, he settled in Altadena and remained there until his demise on July 17, 1989.
His subjects include figures, still lifes, landscapes of the Sierra and Fallen Leaf Lake. Member: Painters & Sculptors of LA; Pasadena Society of Artists; Carmel AA; Laguna Beach AA; Calif. Art Club.
