The following is from the artist:

Ronald J. Adamson, born in 1955, in Libby Montana.
Started painting in 1973, at age 17 and started sculpting 2 years later when 19 years old. In 2002 Governor Judy Martz of Montana presented President George W. Bush with a wood sculpture, done by Ron Adamson. Ron's most famous sculpture is a 6-foot tall man holding a guitar. This sculpture was commissioned by the City of Winslow Arizona, and inspired by the song "Take It Easy" by the "Eagles". In September of 1999 the sculpture was placed on the "Corner" in Winslow Arizona.
