Biography Roy Moyer
Roy Moyer, an artist and art administrator, did landscapes, still life and genre scenes, and his paintings are in various public collections including the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Rose Art Museum.
He was born in 1921 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, graduated from Columbia University, and then served during World War II in North Africa and Italy with the US Army. After the war, he enrolled in Columbia University, earning a Master's Degree in English Literature and taking additional courses in art history.
In addition to his own creativity, he had a strong commitment to art project organization. He served as President of the American Society of Contemporary Artists from 1985 to 1987, and from 1963,
