Biography Ruth (Dawes) Wilcox
Ruth Wilcox was born in New York City and was married to Ray
Wilcox. She was primarily a painter and a commercial artist but
was also known as a crafts person. She was a member of the American Artists Professional League and National Association of Women Artists and studied at Art Students League, New York School of Fine & Applied Art, Pennsylvania Academy and
Academie Julian in Paris.
Mrs. Wilcox was also known as Ruth
Wilcox Dawes.
