Sarah I. Grover Staack was born in Minnesota on March 23, 1861. Sarah was the wife of Gustavus Staack and a resident of Minneapolis in 1900.
After the death of her husband, she sought a milder climate and moved to southern California in 1908.
For several years she lived in El Centro and taught art in the public schools.
She died in Sutter County, California on June 28, 1928.
