Biography Stella Coler
Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Stella Coler was active in Indiana and Florida. She studied at the University of Michigan, earning a B.A. degree, and at the John Herron Art School in Indianapolis. She also studied at the Art Students League of New York.
Art teachers were Eliot O'Hara, Jerry Farnsworth, Aaron Bohrod, Hilton Leech and Will Barrel.
She was a member of the Indiana Art Club and the Sarasota Art Association, which she served as president in 1955. She taught art classes at the Indianapolis Art League.
