Biography Thomas Malloy
Thomas Malloy began his art career late in life. At age 53, after his marriage to wife Dorothy in 1965 his "painting hobby" became his passion, even while holding down a factory job. Tom Malloy's first show was at the Trenton Public Library in 1967. This led to exhibitions at the Camden County Library and the University of Pennsylvania Museum. In 1968 Tom Malloy received a ribbon (Honorable Mention) at a "Senior Citizens Art Competition" in Mercer, County. Sales were few though and Tom sold his work where he could, at venues like the Columbus Flea Market and on the boardwalk at Virginia Beach.
