Biography Tom Keogh
Tom Keogh (1922-1980) was born in San Francisco in 1922. He first moved to New York for his work as an illustrator for Barbara Karinska, a theater and ballet costume designer. There he met and married Theodora Roosevelt, the granddaughter of President Theodore Roosevelt. They moved to Paris where he worked with French Vogue. Eventually the couple divorced and after 20 years in Paris, Keogh moved back to New York where he remained until he passed away 1980.
Keogh studied at the California School of Fine Arts and the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles.
