Thomas D. Palmerton was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa December 9, 1932. He received formal training at the Kansas City Art Institute from 1955 through 1959. He taught for awhile at the Kansas City Art Institute before returning to Nebraska where he taught at the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha and at the University of Omaha from 1963-1966.
Painting in a style showing latent Andrew Wyeth influences, Mr. Palmerton has worked extensively in both acrylics and in watercolor. He seems especially at home in the watercolor medium.
