Trew Herbert Hocker was active/lived in Missouri, New York.  Trew Hocker is known for regional landscape painting, scenery design, graphic art, teaching.

Biography   Trew Hocker


The following information is from Janet Wilzbach, Museum Collections Manager of the ST. Louis County Parks Department.  She has been researching Missouri artist Trew Herbert Hocker  and wrote:

"Trew Hocker was born on June 17, 1913 in Sedalia, MO.  His parents were Walter William Hocker (1885-1958) and Jessie Hayes Hocker (1888-1976).  He had three siblings Walter Hayes Hocker (unknown dates), Hazel Hocker Gamble (1917-2004) and John Robert Hocker (1923-1929).  Trew died while working in New York City, NY on January 7, 1963.  He is buried in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Sedalia, MO.
 
Trew served in the United States Army from May 16, 1942 to August 20, 1943 as a sergeant and from August 21, 19   ...  Displaying 750 of 1996 characters.
