Biography Victor Edmond Leharivel-Durocher
Victor-Edmond-Leharivel Durocher was born in 1816. He began his artistic vocation in the Baudoin workshop in Rouen. In 1838, he entered the school of fine arts in Belloc workshops, Ramey and Dumont. In 1844, he won the award for head expression.
In 1878, he was named Chevalier of the Legion of Honour. He worked with Louis Visconti, and carries the statue of the architect on his tomb. He made many sculptures for the city of Paris, as well as the Palais du Louvre. He passed away in 1878.
