Biography Viktor Gyozo Rafael
Viktor Ráfael was born in Hungary in 1900.
He studied at the Hungarian Academy of Arts from 1921 to 1928 taking
several educational journeys to Paris, Munich and Rome. Later he also traveled to
Egypt, Syria and Irak.
He further participated at the Biennale in Venice in 1928.
He was also a member of the New Artist Association as well as the
Socialist Artist Group. His work was influenced by many art trends such
as Naturalism, Realism, Futurism, Cubism as well as Expressionism. His
central subjects have always been landscapes and human figures.
