The following text was on the program for Vilna Morpurgo's one-person show in 1948 at the Argent Gallery: "Vilna Jorgen Morpurgo, a Scandinavian born American, has exhibited all over Europe. Her works are in the collections of royal families pf Italy, Belgium, and Sweden, She studied sculpture with Karl Eldt in Stockholm, and painting at Maison Watteau in Paris, and was a member of the Paris La Horde. Concurrently as a fine arts and foreign correspondent for Swedish Bonniers, she was also represented Norway in the World's Fair of Barcelona in the 1920's cancelled by the Spanish Civil War.
In Rome, Italy in the 1930's, she studied Vatican restoration with Clarissa von Blumenthal. In 1937-38, she sold an expressionist sculpture,
