Born in Oakland, CA on Sept. 27, 1906. Piepenberg graduated from the CCAC in 1928 and in 1933 married Dalton Wrixon. She continued as a freelance artist during the 1930s and 1940s, and worked for many years as an illustrator for the Oakland Tribune. A lifelong resident of her native city, she died on Aug. 19, 1995.
