Walter Cole was active/lived in Florida, New York / France.  Walter Cole is known for commercial art, portrait and landscape painting, teaching.

A member of the St, Augustine Art Colony in Florida, Walter Cole was a commercial artist, instructor, and portrait and landscape painter.  In St. Augustine, he designed the Art Association logo for the Art Center, and also was a popular art instructor.  He also was active in New York City where he was a member of the Guild of Free Lance Artists, and in Sheffield, Massachusetts where he had a studio.

Cole studied at the Art Students League in New York with Walt Kuhn.  During World War II, he designed Liberty Loan Posters and did a series of documentary paintings of the war.
