William Baum died on Jan. 1, 2000. He trained at the Art Students League of New York and studied industrial design at the Laboratory School of Design.
He was a sculptor and poet and used collage. His work was featured at the Great Neck and Shelter Rock Libraries.
He competed in juried art shows at the Brooklyn Museum of Art and the Berkshire Museum and was active in the Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island.
