Born in Louisville, KY on April 9, 1909, William Burk studied at Cornell University and at University of Southern California under Merrel Gage and Paul Sample.
During the 1930s he was a resident of Los Angeles; by 1940 he was in Albuquerque and head of architecture at the University of New Mexico. He died there in January 1988.
